Everyone I met was so kind, and the lady was especially lovely. She said she'd keep my comment in mind for improvements. The room was quiet and comfortable, though a little dated, and it matched the description. Breakfast was as advertised, with a coffee and tea maker, croissants, and toast. I only wish there'd been bottled water, since the tap water smelled strongly of chlorine. A nice spot to spend a day relaxing in a period home.

The village is lovely for a walk, with a beautiful view, and the property has a large garden. It was simple, as the reviews said. But the room was really dirty: dust everywhere, dirt and rust, plus hair and other people's grime in the shower. I didn't use it. Hygiene gets zero from me. The included breakfast was poor, which we expected, but rusty cutlery was a surprise. We booked dinner thinking it would be in a restaurant or at least the B&B bar. Instead, it was a tiny room where we were squeezed in with 12 other people. The "waiters" kept bumping into everyone because they didn't walk around. I put that in quotes because the two people were nice and kind, just clearly inexperienced at the job. They're the only reason for the three stars. Sadly, I can't recommend the place. I didn't bring up the cleanliness issue because I only noticed it that evening, after we'd spent the afternoon out, including having the aperitif that was included in the price. Oh well.

The suite was spacious and bright, with stylish furnishings. We slept peacefully with the quiet hills around us, and waking up to that view was lovely. The owners gave us a warm welcome, and the welcome cocktail in the spa was a nice touch. Our weekend went smoothly from start to finish.

No! The place looks lovely, with spacious rooms, some with period details, but the cleaning is really poor. The old carpets were dusty, and there was dust everywhere. Things looked tidy at a glance, yet the rooms didn't feel freshly cleaned, with cobwebs and unwanted guests that shouldn't be an issue with proper cleaning, even this time of year. The TV barely gets a signal, and the blankets and other linens left in the closets feel dated. Such a shame, since it's attractive, but I can't recommend it for these reasons.
