La Locanda Del Lago Lucciola

The place was simple, clean, and tidy, and dining there turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the home-style food, especially the excellent meat and homemade pasta. The appetizers just kept coming, and the service was courteous and attentive. The price was fair. I'll be back and would recommend it.

We spent two nights at this property. Both the staff and the rooms felt warm and welcoming. We also ate at the inn one evening and really enjoyed the simple, flavorful dishes. It's somewhat out of the way, but the area's attractions are easy to reach from here.

We first stopped in for coffee on the way to Civitella Alfedena. It was a small, cozy place, and the Christmas decorations were lovely. We remembered it on the drive home, saw there were a few tables in the room beside the bar, and came in for lunch. The authentic food was good and the prices more than fair, a very nice surprise. They also have rooms if you need a place to sleep. Thanks for everything, we'll be back!

The room was comfortable and clean, though I did find a bar of soap in the shower that seemed to have been left by previous guests. There was no Wi-Fi, even though it was advertised. We asked the owners for the login through the booking platform and got no reply. The location worked well for visiting Scanno and the surrounding area. Breakfast was only so-so: a sweet item, hot drink, juice, and toast; on the second day there were croissants, but they seemed stale. The person serving breakfast was very kind. Our first attempt to book was unpleasant, as the woman we spoke to shouted at us and wouldn't let us explain our question. Still, the stay itself wasn't the worst.
