Balletti Palace Hotel

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were bright and clean, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. It's not a new hotel, but it had all the amenities we expected. It looks like renovations are underway, so keep that in mind.

We couldn't get a good night's sleep: the walls were so thin we heard everything, and a flashing alarm light directly above the bed kept waking us. There was also a broken spring sticking out of the bed, which made it difficult to lie down and rest. When my partner and I asked to switch rooms, they refused even though the hotel was empty. The service felt unfriendly and unclear. The whole place had the creepy feel of an episode of the Twilight Zone. Unwelcoming, overpriced, and disappointing.

The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and it's close to the station. But it was very noisy. I could hear every word from my neighbor through the thin walls, and people partied in the parking area behind the hotel. Some motorcycles were very loud, with their engines running all night. The old furniture made it look more like a two-star place than a four-star hotel, though I don't usually stay in four-star hotels. Around the area, especially on the street in front of the station, groups of men cat-called me every time I walked by. It was super annoying, and I wouldn't walk along that street alone after dark.

The room smelled strongly of smoke. There were no water bottles or hot water pot in the room, and the refrigerator was missing or broken. Breakfast had only the bare minimum.
