Villa Lante was one of the reasons we chose Hotel Bagnaia, and it was well worth the trip, with its Italian garden, fountains and big park. The other reason was the owners' reputation for being kind. We found that to be true: our host's father was warm and welcoming, and his daughter was courteous, precise and professional. Bagnaia itself won us over too. It's a small, lively town where getting around on foot is easy. Right by the hotel we found a bakery, supermarket, bars and shops. Parking in the hotel lot is limited, but there are nearby streets and a main lot where you can leave the car. The room had everything we needed, including a shower, air conditioning and TV. It wasn't a smart TV, which didn't matter to us. The bed felt high and a little hard at first, but turned out to be comfortable, and we slept well. The furnishings are somewhat dated, and as far as we could tell there isn't an elevator. Still, we liked staying here.

Bagnaia is a lovely village, and the hotel is well placed for visiting both it and Viterbo. The building could do with some updating, but the owner was so friendly and courteous that we had a really nice stay.
