La Tana del Bruco

The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is the nearly nonexistent parking. There’s a lot outside the walls about 500 meters away, though with my children it felt like 1,000. Inside, the room was truly elegant, with fantastic furnishings, old books left open here and there, and paintings that felt profound. Nothing in the decor seemed accidental. Having the option to use the kitchen independently was a real plus and made us feel at home for a moment.

What a lovely surprise in the heart of the historic center. This little B&B has just three rooms and a shared kitchen, and Simona was a very kind, helpful host. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the comforts we needed. We had a great stay otherwise, and it seems ideal for large families who fill the building. The balconies could use cleaning because of the pigeons, and the ground-floor room needed better ventilation since it smelled musty.

The owner was welcoming, kind, and attentive. The place has a wonderful 13th-century feel, with rustic walls and elegant furnishings. It felt like stepping back in time and taking in the beauty and sophistication of that period. A truly lovely experience!

The snacks at breakfast were nice, but the space felt claustrophobic. The double bed was tiny, and there’s no parking nearby, so we had to leave the car in a public lot 1 km away. You have to pay in advance and in cash. I wouldn’t stay here again.
