I was unsure at first, but ended up enjoying my stay. It works well for a short visit or as a base for day trips, with peaceful mornings that are lovely for coffee outside. In the evening, people come together to eat at the restaurant. The food leans traditional rather than chef-led specialties, which suited the purpose, and the weekend pizza was great, especially the cheese. Just don’t expect a five-star hotel.

The setting was quiet, with fresh air, lovely mountain views, and trails nearby. Ceconi Castle and several small towns are also close. Our family stayed three nights, and we all enjoyed it. The room was clean and cozy, and so quiet that I slept like a baby. The staff were helpful and friendly, which made it feel like home. Breakfast had fresh bread and croissants, yogurt, fruit, cheese, ham, sweets, juice, coffee, cookies, and jams. Everything we ate at the restaurant was delicious, but the gnocchi was something else. Honestly, the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

The service was kind and very friendly, and the German beer and gnocchi were great. The pizza is easily the best around, though that may be because there isn’t anywhere else nearby serving it. Definitely recommended.
