Gigi, the guest manager, checked in on me throughout the stay and made sure I was having a good time. The grounds are gorgeous, the lodgings have been renovated to a high standard, and the service was courteous. I'd recommend arranging Florence transfers in advance for a smoother trip, since the journey takes about an hour.

Gigi's tour of the estate brought its history and heritage to life, and made our visit even more memorable. The setting is enchanting, with rolling Tuscan hills, stone buildings, and lush surroundings that made me think of the Shire from The Lord of the Rings. Everyone we met was kind and cheerful, so it was easy to feel at home. We also loved the food. The traditional Tuscan restaurant captures the character of the region, and the Michelin-starred restaurant was outstanding, especially for food lovers. Borgo Pignano is a real gem. I'll absolutely be back, and it's a place that stays with you after you leave.

We spent four lovely nights here for our anniversary. The weather wasn't cooperating, but relaxing in the main saloon with a book and a very good martini was still a wonderful way to celebrate. The front desk staff give such a warm welcome and are more than happy to help. The F&B team provided amazing service, and I was impressed to learn that many of them speak Spanish and French. Thanks to Gigi for the entertaining property tour, Gladysha for helping with our car rental issues, and Davide for a lovely wine tasting. Thanks as well to the chef who gave us an amazing cooking class, and to everyone at Villa Pignano & El Camino. You all made the trip unforgettable 🫶🏻

Alessandro drove the shuttles to San Gimignano and Volterra, and was so friendly, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. Caterina was also wonderful during our wine tasting, really knowledgeable about the wine and lovely with our six-month-old when he woke partway through her session. We spent four nights at Borgo for our honeymoon with our six-month-old baby and had an incredible time. The property and its views are amazing. We tried several hotel activities, including wine tasting, horse riding, truffle hunting, and the estate tour, and would recommend them all. The staff were attentive and the service was great with the baby too. Nappies, a cot, wipes, and toys were all provided. Hope we can come back soon!
