The owner clearly cares about the food, and it shows. We loved the meat, which was full of flavor and cooked just right, and the antipasti is well worth ordering. Every pasta we tried was great, especially the boscaiola and cacio e pepe. The cheese-filled pasta “sweets” were delicious too. We ran out of time before dessert, but the prices were very reasonable. A superb family-run place, deserving of all the praise.

We ended up here because a storm had spoiled our plans, and were glad we stopped. The menu explains that only two people serve, so don’t expect McDonald’s speed. The cook takes time with the food, and the wait was worth it. Even with heavy rain, wind, and power cuts, the staff made the afternoon enjoyable. It’s an authentic, cheerful place focused on serving good food, without any luxury trimmings.

The rooms were clean, which was enough for the two of us. It’s a quiet place with a pleasant feel. Breakfast tasted good, though there were too many sweet things. They had local cheese and cookies.

We had a great meal and a lovely local atmosphere. For under $70, we got a huge appetizer, two pasta dishes, wine, and three really good desserts. I’ve seen complaints about the staff and service, but visitors should remember things work differently in Italy. Waiters won’t rush over with the order or food, especially if guests are unkind.
