Just reviewing the cafe: we stopped for a late lunch and everything was made in-house. The cakes looked especially good, and the service was kind. There’s a shaded patio and parking if you’re driving. Lunch is served from 12 to 3 pm.

We stayed here on our honeymoon in 2016 and it’s still one of our favorite places. The food was amazing, and everyone was friendly. We were touring by bike, so the climb up to Volterra was quite a challenge!

If you're hungry, look elsewhere. We waited about 45 minutes before getting a menu, then learned the pizza, the main dish, was finished, along with almost everything else. Good job!
