The staff made us feel welcome from the start, always cheerful and ready to help with a smile. Chef Vittorio deserves a special mention too: each dish balanced tradition, creativity, and respect for the ingredients, and the food really rounded out our stay. We spent three unforgettable days on Vulcano in this peaceful corner, away from the port’s traffic and noise. There’s a breathtaking sea view wherever you turn, surrounded by quiet, unspoiled nature. The rooms are bright, welcoming, and carefully decorated in an authentic Aeolian style. Even the bathroom felt thoughtful, with Nuxe products for different needs and little extras that women will appreciate. Getting down to the sea takes some adaptability. The path is winding, and access is by the hotel’s service vehicles. There’s sand in a few spots, and some small sections are still being built, so the property seems to be evolving. The sea itself is beautiful, with bucolic nature all around. It’s a good fit for nature lovers who don’t mind a bit of a walk or adventure. A great choice if you want to disconnect and recharge while enjoying the Aeolian Islands’ natural beauty, as long as you’re open to a little adventure.

We were pampered throughout our romantic, relaxing weekend and had a wonderful time. Breakfast included a good spread of local products, and the property has a private beach with a very good restaurant for lunch and dinner. The rooms are spacious and have all the comforts for a pleasant stay. Staff and concierge were impeccable and helpful. It’s a charming place in a quiet part of Vulcano. We’ll definitely be back.

The transfer service is a real help here, since even short distances can take time on an island and Gelso is quite far from the port. Getting to the sea still means walking for about ten minutes, as we did. Staff can come along for part of the way, but you’ll need to walk some of it. The route has its own charm, with nature, quiet, and that island feeling. At the end, guests have lounge chairs and a private bar waiting. This new property in Gelso, Vulcano, is just getting going but already has a lot of potential. The recently opened rooms are simple, fresh, and in an Aeolian style. Breakfast is served outdoors at the attached farm, with fresh, genuine produce, a lovely way to start the day. Staff are around and helpful, and you’re bound to run into someone while wandering the large grounds, where it’s easy to lose your way. The natural pools and some other amenities weren’t open during our visit, so we have an excuse to return.
