Four Seasons Hotel Milano

The courtyard is gorgeous, especially when the weather's nice. Having a drink or meal there in such a peaceful setting feels like an experience on its own. Inside, the rooms are elegant, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable, while the bar is stylish and intimate, a lovely place for a relaxed evening. I had a truly exceptional stay at Four Seasons Hotel Milano and would happily return.

Our dinner with my 88-year-old grandfather ended up being ruined by the service. He'd wanted a fancy meal at the Four Seasons Hotel, and the bar staff were very accommodating before dinner. But his ribeye was so tough he couldn't cut or chew it, so our waiter suggested a filet. He took one bite of that and pushed it aside because it was tough too. The waiter walked past several times without asking how it was, then left us waiting for about 30 minutes. We had to ask another server to find him, and even then it took ages. I finally went to tell him we were done and wanted to pay and leave. With a lot of attitude, he refused to remove the steak he'd barely touched and said, “Pay for the whole bill or just don’t pay at all, it’s not my problem.” The manager did take both steaks off the bill, but the server's disrespectful manner spoiled our night. We understand now that steak might not be the thing to order in Italy, but this was handled unacceptably and didn't reflect well on the Four Seasons Hotel or its business. We won't return to the Four Seasons in Milan.

The winter Olympics decorations were beautiful, and the concierge team was so helpful, especially the Greek lady who made our dinner reservations. The place was spotless and beautiful, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Definitely the best place to stay in Milan.

We took the kids to the salon during our wonderful stay at the Four Seasons, and absolutely loved it. Giusy is really the heart of the place: professional, super friendly, patient with the little ones, and always ready with good advice. There were five of us in the salon, and she handled it all calmly and with care. Her team were just as lovely and good at what they do. The Four Seasons never disappoints us!
