The ingredients were fresh and local, and the food was really tasty Calabrese cooking in a pleasant country house. It felt like real southern Italian food, country style. I'd come back and definitely recommend the place.

Delicious local food in an amazing place.

Getting there was very difficult, especially at night. The setting itself is quiet and beautiful, but the streets are narrow and not very clean. Service was quick and punctual, though the waiter wasn't very courteous. He exclaimed "Oh my God!" several times in an exasperated tone. There were 12 of us, but we had a reservation and not many other people were eating. The food was a mix of hits and misses. The nduja was delicious and not too spicy, even for me, though I can't tolerate spicy food. The onion fritter with it was very good too. I loved the fresh, fantastic appetizer, especially the well-seasoned zucchini cooked just right. The pasta with guanciale and Tropea onion was tasty, but a little too salty and very strong in flavor, though not spicy. The pork chop was the best dish of the evening, tender, nicely seasoned, and excellent. The sausage was tasty but quite dry and a little cold. The lamb steak also came cold, was undersalted and somewhat overcooked, so it was tough to eat. The grilled vegetables were far too bland on their own, though they brought out the flavor of the meat. The potatoes and peppers were disappointing, just mashed potatoes with ordinary pickled peppers from a jar. The fennel liqueur was light, but the fennel came through clearly, even in the aroma.

The mixed antipasti are a tasty showcase of the homemade food here, with genuine olive oil, cheeses, cured meats, and pasta. The farm restaurant serves homemade specialties, and the pasta with onions and bacon is amazing. I also really liked the lamb and the potatoes and peppers on the side, which were flavorful without being greasy. The house red wine was good, and the fennel liqueur was pleasant and full of aroma. Prices are reasonable.
