The breakfast was a letdown, with few fresh choices, only boiled eggs, and very little bread beyond packaged options. They said the carrot cake had been gone since yesterday. There were very few families staying, and maybe that’s why the selection was so limited. The hotel is newly refurbished and outside busy Verona, with a good cafeteria and a lovely-looking restaurant I didn’t try. The rooms are nice, though some small things are missing, like a coffee maker and bathroom shelves. We visited in winter, so the large outdoor pool was closed, but it looks amazing. A bit pricey.

The main drawback was the very thin walls. If other guests come in late and aren’t quiet, you’ll hear them. Otherwise, the place is peaceful, away from the bustle, with spacious, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a nice use of space in each room. The grounds and amenities feel very Zen, and there’s a courtyard pool for summer. Breakfast is light, with bread-like treats, yogurt, a few meats, and smoked cheese. Don’t forget the coffee, it’s always good. For this area I might even give it five stars, though it’s my first visit near Verona and I don’t have much to compare it with.
