A comfortable bed, a friendly manager, and a clean, quiet room made this fine for one night near the Unipol Arena during a concert. The room itself was basic, and the bathroom was small and had no bidet. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. The shared kitchen needs attention. There was no room in the refrigerator, which was full of other guests’ unlabeled things. For two people we got only two bottles of water, with no coffee pods, herbal tea, or welcome snacks. There’s room for improvement.

The room was clean and small, as expected, but I didn’t sleep at all. The air conditioning was supposedly on, yet only blew hot air, and there was no remote. I asked the owner several times to lower the temperature, but it stayed unbearably hot. I don’t think he did anything to fix it. I was there for one work night. The entrance felt like someone’s home because people were cooking, and the food smell got into the room. The service was zero. Then the owner asked us to pay €2.50 per person. I don’t understand why, since the tourist tax was already included in the price. The price was high for what was offered and the quality.

The only real drawback was the very narrow spiral staircase, which was awkward with my suitcase. I also would have liked the towels to be ironed. Otherwise, it was a nice, well-equipped room in an excellent location.

The location was excellent, just a few steps from the platform for trains to Bologna central station, and I’ll definitely come back. The beds were very comfortable, and the heating worked really well. The rooms were clean and had all the comforts, including a TV, a mini-fridge stocked with water, and shower gel.
