What made Takuma Boutique Hotel Jamaica stand out for me was how quiet and personal it felt. No crowds or big chain hotel vibe, just a laid-back stay that felt suited to my needs. I travel a lot, and this is one of those rare places that feels different in a good way. The beds were seriously comfortable, and I could happily spend ages looking at the views. My favorite part was unwinding on the rooftop at sunset with a cocktail. One of those moments that makes you think, okay, this is why I travel. There’s a tennis court too, which was a nice way to move around between all the eating and relaxing. The Jamaican breakfast is legit, the kind that makes you want to wake up early even on vacation. The natural blended juices were delicious, and the cocktails were super creative. If you like places with character, good food, and room to unwind, this one’s worth it.

The views are beautiful, and the rooms feel vintage but cozy. We were running late getting to the hotel because we were checking out late, but our host greeted us with warmth, care, and attention and made sure everything was set up. We had to leave with our shuttle in the morning, so he made breakfast 40 minutes earlier to accommodate us. 10/10 for us :)

The view from this place was incredible, and it felt safe behind the gate. We had a pool, hot tub, and tennis court to enjoy, and the food was delicious. The staff were always ready to help with anything we needed. Absolutely stunning stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The mountain location made getting back and forth difficult, and the gate had to be opened by someone each time. When I was out late, I got several messages asking when I’d return because they had to let me in. The food was overpriced, and the advertised continental breakfast was just pancakes and eggs, with no fruit or cereal and only instant coffee. Power went out several times, and we ran out of water. One outage woke me at 5 a.m. Staff also came banging on my door to collect payment for food instead of letting me settle up at checkout. It felt unprofessional.

My sister and I booked at the last minute while traveling in Jamaica and had such a relaxing time. The staff were really friendly, and our room was clean and beautiful. I’ll definitely come back.
