Tropical Court Hotel

I booked through booking.com, but when I got there, the person on site said they knew nothing about my reservation. I ended up paying much more than the amount I had agreed to online. A very strange experience.

The security guard was pleasant and very helpful, and being close to the airport is handy. But the place doesn't look much like the pictures, the lights are very dim, and the housekeeper didn't do a good job and left early. The signs mention free breakfast, but there isn't any. There are actual keys for the rooms. Outside, an old chicken coop smells awful, and cats wander in and out all over the place. It's okay if you only need somewhere to sleep at night, but I wouldn't want to spend much time there. They should clean the place up and brighten it.

We weren't impressed with the food, and the venue was smelly, dirty, and extremely hot. We arrived at 3:50 p.m. for a 4 p.m. wedding reception, but they were still cleaning. The AC didn't come on until 4:20. Power went out around 4:50, and there was no generator for backup. A guest had to work out what was wrong and get the power back on.

The balcony has a nice view, and the room was clean, with free Wi-Fi, AC, a microwave, and a mini fridge. I think of this place as my home away from home. It's not an all-inclusive resort, but it does offer peace of mind and a chance to relax. They also have wedding packages at prices that can fit your budget. I'd recommend checking it out.
