Home Sweet Home Resort

We spent 4 nights at Home Sweet Home Resort over Valentine's Day in February 2025, and my husband and I are already looking forward to returning. Room 9 had an ocean view and a direct walk-out to the grounds. It came with a king-sized bed, plenty of storage, a small fridge, and a shower-only bathroom. The water pressure was light, though I understand that's a local issue rather than something unique to HSH. The rooms are a little dated, but the property's charm, service, and location make up for it. The place feels quaint and charming. Its small restaurant serves free morning coffee, plus breakfast and lunch you can order at reasonable prices. We had delicious jerk chicken when we arrived. I wasn't sure about staying somewhere without a beach on site, but I'm sold on the cliffs: no sand and bugs is a big plus for me. The location also makes it easy to spend the morning at the beach and come back. There's a driver on site who can take you to or from the airport and on local trips at reasonable rates. A scooter rental place is next door. We had a great stay and struggled to find anything to complain about.

We're still here, and this place is AWESOME! The rooms are spacious, the sunsets are gorgeous, and the snorkeling and fishing are great. I can't say enough good things about it. Would recommend 💯 ❤️

The snorkeling was fantastic, and the sunsets were beautiful. I spent a week at Home Sweet Home and have stayed there a couple of times before. The place is lovely, the grounds and rooms were clean, and housekeeping was fantastic. For the price, it’s one of the best spots on the cliffs. The on-site restaurant wasn’t great, since it’s run by an outside company, but with so many places nearby serving authentic Jamaican food, that didn’t bother me much. Tina, the manager, and Charlie, the owner, were both great. Chris or Bobby provided top-notch taxi service. I can’t think of anything bad to say. It’s well worth the cost and a visit. Thanks to the whole staff for a wonderful week.

The property has stunning views and feels like a well-kept secret. My original room had some problems, but Tina, the manager, was so kind and upgraded me at no charge. The Wi-Fi and air conditioning were a bit unreliable at times, though I still thought it was great value. There aren’t food options on site in the low season, but plenty of restaurants are close by. I’d recommend it if you want a peaceful, private, beautiful place to get away from city life.
