Jah Freedom Inn Negril

Jah Freedom Guest House is a charming, rustic place to settle into Negril's laid-back feel. Its location makes it easy to get to beaches, restaurants, and nightlife, whether you want a quiet beach day, a look at local culture, or a night out. The welcome was warm from the start, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure our stay was comfortable. Rooms are cozy, clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with what you need for a comfortable visit. It worked for solo travelers, couples, and families. I can't recommend it enough for a welcoming Jamaican experience.

We planned on four nights at Jah Freedom Inn and wound up staying almost a week. Steve knows the island well, including where to eat and swim and when and where to catch the best live acts. He also took us on day trips around Negril to some lovely spots. The comfortable beds and his gorgeous dogs made it feel like a home away from home in Jamaica. A really chill place in Negril, with a lovely view from the porch and rooftop. Steve made us comfortable and had some great suggestions for food and sightseeing. He's an amazing host.

Steve shared his kitchen with us, and his coffee each morning was a lovely start to the day with that beautiful view. He checked in several times to see if we needed anything and even offered to pick up things like pharmacy items when he was out. He also took us to a couple of spots for local fruit and supplies. I needed to work during the stay, and the wifi worked very well. We spent a few nights with Steve and his awesome animals in March 2024. The house is comfortable, our room was spacious, and everything worked. It's an easy walk to many restaurants and a little beach near Canoe bar and restaurant. Steve was helpful and made us feel welcome. He seems to know everyone around Negril, and his recommendations led us to great meals and local places including Xtabi, Just Natural and Rick’s.
