Lot 4 Negril Heights

For a business trip, I stayed at High Life Villa in Negril, and it turned out to be a peaceful, secluded place to unwind. The staff welcomed me warmly and were accommodating from the moment I arrived. I especially enjoyed the talented chef, who was flexible about cooking options and made every meal delicious. The views were breathtaking, and the pool and hot tubs were just right in the warm Jamaican weather. The whole team made the stay memorable. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious, serene retreat in Negril.

The High Life Resort & Spa is tucked into the West End hills, a little off the beaten path, so contact the staff to make getting there smoother unless you're up for your own adventure. Once you're settled, most things around Negril are 15-20 minutes away. It feels like a hidden gem, with luxury and a chance to recharge. My villa had a clean, minimal tropical look, and the views were unreal. Sunset from the rooftop jacuzzis really hit different. The staff were chill and made me feel at home. Chef T is that guy: fresh, flavorful food plated like they knew someone would be taking pictures. Luxury, peace, and pure aesthetic, with great energy. Come for the views and stay for the vibes.

The staff were nice, and the food was good, though definitely overpriced. But don't book here. There were so many misleading claims and they took no accountability. The address was wrong, and the facility was much farther away than the posted address suggested. They claimed beach access, but staff said that only meant you could see the beach. When we said we wanted to go to a beach, they charged us a large fee. The daily meal plan was posted at $60, including on the menu, but when we arrived they said it cost $75. Breakfast for one day was all they offered after I finally demanded compensation for the problems. My AC flooded twice and was so loud you could hear it down the hall. I had to turn it off for a night in 9 degrees weather. The bathroom had a serious leak and staff had to clean water off the floor. One morning the whole place had no water for over three hours, and I couldn't get a hot shower during our five days there. At the desk, the people in charge couldn't make decisions without checking with several others, which made everything more frustrating. The facility needs updating: missing tiles, peeling walls, holes in the tile floors, and towels with stains and holes. There were 9 of us, and we made the best of it, but if we'd known, we would have stayed somewhere else. Just don't do it.

The location can be hard to find, so call for directions. Expect serious power, internet, and water problems, sometimes several times in one day. Still, the staff are friendly, the views are breathtaking, and it's a good place to relax. The food is good but expensive, and although breakfast was included, the menu choices were limited.
