RafJam Bed & Breakfast

The room was spectacular, with a hillside view over one of the rivers, and the cool mountain air kept it comfortable day and night without AC. You can hear the river when you arrive, and the calm really settles in. Raf Jam Bed & Breakfast is tucked into the hills of Newcastle, St Andrew. The road up is very rough, so I'd suggest an SUV or another vehicle made for rugged terrain. The property seemed to be under construction during my visit, but it still felt tranquil. Check-in wasn't very smooth, though the service was excellent. In the morning there was no coffee, luckily I had brought Nescafé instant packs, and I couldn't find the cook/chef to make breakfast. The owner/operator stepped in and helped, so it all worked out. A few service and aesthetic details were missing, which kept it from being perfect. I'd love to stay again, it's a great wellness retreat spot if the owner is open to that.

A warm, relaxing home away from home, with service that's professional and welcoming. Rustic-chic, peaceful, and therapeutic, it's a nature lover's paradise off the beaten track.

We were walking from Irish Town and stopped at Rafjam for a quick drink and a look around. Shaun and Susan welcomed us so warmly. They seem to have created a really unique, stylish place, and after seeing the rooms and facilities, we were very impressed. It was such a peaceful haven in a beautiful natural setting.
