Whispering Bamboo Cove Resort

The balcony had a breathtaking mountain view, the AC worked well, and the food was delicious without being salty. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and on our departure day they served ackee & salt fish with fried dumplings. He said they were just like the ones his sister-in-law used to make. Thanks to Marvin, the skilled Chef, and Natoya, the Receptionist, along with the rest of the team, for making us feel at home and pampered. The bathroom needed better ventilation, though, and the balcony sliding-door locks were broken, so that’s why I rated the rooms a 4. The customer service was wonderful and made our stay memorable.

The room was spacious, with a balcony over the ocean, AC, a fridge, and hot water in the shower. The staff were really friendly, and the pool was clean, though I didn’t see any chairs. Maybe they had some stored away if I’d asked. Food and shops are a bit far, but taxis are available.

Patricia made planning my wedding here feel easy, and the staff helped keep my meltdown on the day itself to a minimum. They pitched in to make the whole event amazing. The staff and food were amazing, and Ms. Pat may look young, but she handles everything with ease. She seems to have a solution and a contact for everyone and everything. One thing: ask them to keep your cake in the cooler until you’re ready for it.

Breakfast was marvelous, and the grounds are comfortable. The teens and tweens were enjoying the pool, and the staff were courteous and polite. The building looks inviting when you enter, but the rooms need an upgrade with more amenities. There’s no beach access from the hotel entrance. Really, there isn’t much beach at all, since the sea has taken up the sandy space, leaving it rocky and unkempt.
