Down Town Hotel Apartments

The spot on Abdali boulevard is amazing, the room is quite big, and the staff are friendly. Parking is available, but getting permission to use it was a hassle. Even with my access card, they asked for my information each time and I had to wait for supervisor approval. Cleanliness was poor, and the blankets and pillows should be changed.

Update, 2025: This visit was very disappointing. I changed rooms three times in 10 days, and each room had issues, including a broken lamp, a leaking toilet or sink, or AC that didn’t work properly. Having to report something at least once a day was frustrating. I don’t recommend this place anymore and won’t stay here again. Original review: The rooms are spacious and well furnished, but the service is very poor. There’s no room service, so I wouldn’t recommend staying unless you want to cook and shop for groceries. Breakfast was mediocre. Housekeeping was the worst part. My room wasn’t cleaned on three of my five days, and I returned after long days to a dirty room. Reception said it was housekeeping’s mistake, not theirs. The staff are friendly but not professional. I wouldn’t stay here again, especially with better options in the Abdali area.

The location made getting around very convenient. It’s close to the main tourist attractions, downtown markets, and a range of upscale Arabic and Western restaurants. Breakfast was varied and excellent, with choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Abu Bakr at the breakfast restaurant reception was especially welcoming and provided great service. I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, and service.

The staff were friendly, but the service was so poor that I ended up switching hotels. My room wasn’t properly cleaned, and I had to remind them several times to clean it. I also asked repeatedly about the TV, but nobody fixed it, so I went my entire week-long stay without one. A very disappointing experience. Never again.
