The lobby looks nice, and the location is attractive and walkable, but the place needs better upkeep. I was in room 13, and it hadn’t been cleaned properly: it needed vacuuming and mopping. The toilet flush and shower both drained badly, leaving a really bad smell. I asked to move rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast was mediocre.

We booked because of the location, but the stay was very upsetting. The first room had used towels, hair on the bedding, dirty floors, no shower water, no hand soap, and just one bottle of water for two people. When we asked for more, Fadi said that was all we could have. After a long wait and another call, we were moved to a second room. It was just as bad, with hair on the sheets and a large stain in the middle. Manager Fadi saw it himself when we checked the room with him. I asked for a refund because of the hygiene and water problems, but Fadi was dismissive, rude, and seemed unconcerned. They offered to drive us to a motel, but it wasn’t comparable in standard or location to what we had booked. We’d been travelling since 8am and were exhausted. As two female travellers, arriving late in the evening with no transport and only a few days left in Jordan, the situation was really stressful and handled poorly. The hotel and management seem okay until something goes wrong. They even tried to blame a vengeful revenge cleaning staff. The photos show what it was actually like.

The rooftop bar lets people smoke, but guests aren’t told about that policy when they arrive. Many international visitors may not know that hotels in Amman, Jordan commonly allow both guests and outsiders to smoke in bar areas. The staff generally have a positive attitude, but bar service doesn’t seem to put hotel guests first. Non-residents can reserve tables to watch football matches, and no tables are left for hotel guests. That takes away from the experience for people who have paid to stay there.

The food upstairs was really good, but I’d skip the breakfast option. Everything there seemed to be three days old and didn’t taste very good. The hotel itself is very nice.

I nearly talked myself out of staying here, but it turned out fantastic. The room and bathroom were spotless, it was very quiet even on the lower level, and the shower had great pressure. The lobby and room are nicely decorated, with a lovely boutique feel. Parking was easy at 7pm on a Saturday night. The breakfast was the best of my whole trip in Jordan. Betu made me an amazing halloumi croissant. The hotel is in the old center of Amman, close to the old citadel, Roman amphitheater, and Rainbow street. The old part of town is livelier but not as clean as the West side. Fadi, the evening manager, was very helpful with food and other recommendations. Thanks for the experience!
