Layaali Amman Hostel

The hotel is spotless, beautifully presented, and in a great location. Prices feel fair for the quality, and the service is professional. Chef Mama and Chef Roz are the real stars for me, their food is delicious and looks like art. It’s a welcoming place if you care about clean surroundings and elegant presentation.

The Roman Theatre view was the standout for me. Waking up to it made the stay feel like being right in the middle of history. Layali Amman Hotel is also clean and comfortable, with staff who are warm and ready to help. Restaurants, shops, and the lively downtown are all within walking distance. A great base for seeing Amman, and one of the city’s best locations.

The location near shops, cafes, the Roman theatre, and the cittadella was the one real plus. We stayed at three Amman hotels for about the same price, and this was the worst. I’m not especially picky, but booking it was a big mistake, and I honestly wondered if the reviews were fake. The room looked clean, but the pillow linen was dirty and the towels had marks. The shower curtain made me anxious, haha, and breakfast was average. There was also a chemical, cleaning-product sort of smell from the AC that made it really hard to breathe. Opening the window meant dealing with traffic noise, so bring earplugs if your room faces the main road. The hotel doesn’t provide them.

The breakfast was a real highlight, fresh and with lots to choose from. Boss Mom and Boss Roz were lovely, friendly, and helpful. Saja at reception was especially kind and gave us all the information we needed. We spent two nights here and had a wonderful time. The rooms were nicely furnished, clean, and well looked after. The hotel is in the old city, across from the Roman theater, which is a great spot. I’d recommend it to everyone, a clean ten.
