Retaj Hotel

Diana was so kind and professional, and kept supporting us throughout the preparations. She took care of the little details and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. The hall and atmosphere were beautiful, and the service was better than I expected. My henna party at Retaj Hotel Amman was amazing from beginning to end. I’d recommend it for small celebrations and special occasions. Thanks for making my henna night unforgettable.

I had a terrible stay, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The new room they eventually gave me was still a bit dirty. Customer service was awful the whole time. The staff didn’t smile or welcome us, didn’t help with my luggage, and just stood by while I carried everything myself. I’d asked for a non-smoking room, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I complained, staff kept saying it was “good” and “non-smoking.” After an argument, they agreed to move me to a “special room.” It also felt like one staff member was expecting a tip just for doing basic things. He acted overly friendly, took a tip after changing the room, then disappeared. I’d asked him for a toothbrush before that and he said yes, but never brought it back. When I requested just one painkiller, staff seemed annoyed and told me rudely to go outside because they “don’t provide it.” There was no politeness or care. For late checkout, although the hotel was almost empty, I was told I’d have to pay half the room price to stay two extra hours. They didn’t seem to care and just wanted money.

At 2:00 AM, a very unpleasant receptionist demanded to see an Islamic marriage contract because we spoke Arabic. We’re a European couple, both with European passports, and we aren’t Muslim. He assumed that Arabic speakers must have such a contract, even though we’re European. There was also a strong smell of smoke in the reception area, which made the whole experience even worse.

My sister’s graduation party here went perfectly. The venue was elegant, beautifully arranged, and really well organized. Diana, the hall manager, and her wonderful team were professional, kind, and welcoming. Their support, care with the details, and warm attitude made the event unforgettable. Highly recommend! ❤️❤️
