The Strand was clean, and the staff were helpful. Rooms were a good size, though the decor felt dated. The food was basic and not very inspiring, but fine. The location worked for us, although you'll need a taxi to get to anywhere significant in Amman. For a budget stay that's adequate, it does the job for the price.

Really friendly staff and a great spot. The value is good, though I'd put it closer to a 3-star place.

I've traveled all over the world and haven't stayed anywhere this unclean. The room floor was so dirty I couldn't walk barefoot, and the bathroom was dirty too, so a shower left me feeling less clean, not refreshed. I wouldn't come here. The staff didn't respond and seemed not to care.

The room had no toilet paper, or barely any. They should provide a fresh roll. The buffet was usually the same sort of food, with better choices at other hotels. Service was alright.

10/10
We had no complaints during our four days at the Strand, split across two stays of one and three nights. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Tourism was way down because of the regional conflict while we were there, so the hotel was quiet.
