InterContinental Resort Aqaba by IHG

Breakfast was the highlight for us, both for the range of options and how carefully the food was prepared. The staff also did a lot to make our stay comfortable and easy. We didn’t swim because it was too cold, but there is a decent outdoor heated pool. Guests can use the spa facilities free during winter. I’d recommend the hotel.

Hussaine in the restaurant was very helpful, and Bashar at reception was wonderful. Everyone on staff was amazing. The breakfast is one of the best in the region, not just Jordan, with almost everything available. The hotel is very clean, the food is excellent, and the sandy beach is great. It’s also well placed for Aqaba’s attractions, most of which are an easy walk away. This is my pick in Aqaba.

The staff and service were excellent, and the location gets five stars from me. The rooms get none: they’re smaller than at other hotels and come with fewer amenities. I also had a problem with the pool and sea area. Pool staff were rude and far too strict about rules that don’t make sense to me. Adults don’t have to wear a shirt or swim shirt, but kids have to wear some kind of shirt. I’m an IHG member.

I’d happily come back. The location is stunning, and the whole team was friendly, attentive, and careful about making guests feel welcome and comfortable. The service felt highly professional. I especially want to thank Mr. Ahmed Al Nabhani for his excellent support and for handling things promptly and wisely. His professionalism reflects well on the hotel’s management. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the team.
