For the high price, this camp was a complete disappointment and nowhere near the advertised “luxury.” The tent was dirty and damp-smelling, the bathroom had mold and barely any hot water, and the air conditioning barely worked, making the night miserable. Staff weren't welcoming and brushed off my concerns when I asked for help. The food was cold, bland, and clearly not fresh. Online pictures make Memories Aicha Luxury Camp look beautiful, but in reality it seemed poorly managed. I left early because the stay was unbearable. This place is a tourist trap, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy Wadi Rum. One star, not a luxury experience at all.

The camp sits in a mesmerizing spot, with amazing Wadi Rum views right from your bed. At night, looking up at the stars was a wonderful experience. It's definitely not cheap, especially the igloo-style tents, but the staff across the property were wonderful. The restaurant is pretty cool and good, built right into the rocks. An extraordinary camp and an exceptional facility in the middle of the desert.

We loved our stay! The tents were really comfortable, the food was great, and the staff were lovely. The cave lounge was such a cool spot to relax in the evening, all in beautiful Wadi Rum.

For £300 a night, I expected a lot more. The dining hall, which barely appears in the photos, feels like a school canteen, and the place is nowhere near luxury. The grounds were filthy, with rubbish everywhere and a rotting meat smell. We stayed in a pod, and the finish was really poor. It seems the Instagram photos all show the same pod, which is done to a much higher standard. Ours had two separate duvets for one bed, broken heating, a tiny room, rusty metal beams, and parts visibly glued together. There was no WiFi or phone signal, and nothing to do unless you book the organized jeep tour for £120. You can't leave the compound to eat elsewhere, and I got bad food poisoning from the chicken. The food was shocking. I honestly don't understand the high rating, and suspect most of the reviews are fake. It felt like a desert version of Fyre Festival. Save your money for a slightly cheaper place, or just take a day trip from aqaba.

The location was nice, and the staff outside reception were helpful, which earns the two stars. Reception staff were another story, and I'll say no more about them. The whole venture felt focused on making money, with no care for the place itself: loud music, loads of lights, and garbage and junk everywhere. Reception seemed a bit too caught up in themselves. I really hope some of the money makes its way to the lovely bedouin people who work there.
