Al Nawatef Camp

The people were so friendly, and the food and views were amazing. Taking a guided hike is a great idea. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan.

There’s plenty to eat, and it’s varied and delicious. The tea keeps coming too. A great place to stay if you’re looking to try the different hikes around Dana.

Suahib was the best guide we had, and there are different trails to choose from at the camp. The houses in the front row share the same breathtaking view as the common area where tea is served. The food was a highlight, along with the view and the kindness of the people looking after the place. Such an amazing camp experience.

After some rough experiences on my trip, staying here gave me a lovely chance to rest and feel my faith in people coming back. Ali and his crew were so kind. Ali fell for this place and started the camp because he wanted other people to experience it too. Building it out of such a pure, beautiful feeling can only bring good things. The stone walls surprised me. They stayed cool during the day and warm at night, and my room felt more like a little house than a tent. I also met some lovely fellow guests, including Marie, a French volunteer who can guide hikes. The food was among the best I ate in Jordan. From the first moment to the last, everything was perfect. This is the camp to stay at when you visit Dana, and one of my favorite places I've slept on all my travels.
