The cave was a real gem to stay in. The brothers who run the place were wonderful hosts, and their family actually lived in a cave in Petra, so they have lots of interesting stories.

It was a good spot for the way we traveled, with the core family plus one person. I can see it working just as well with friends or on your own. After a long, hard day of walking, it's a place to rest, shower, and recharge.

I’d suggest this place for a group, especially if you have a car. It’s less convenient for solo travelers since getting to Petra costs around 10 JD. The host replied quickly, and when going to a restaurant seemed complicated, found me food a neighbor had made. They can also arrange for someone to pick up food. Breakfast was fairly limited, mostly flatbread, as shown in the photo.
