Lovely view from the hotel, but it’s about 20 minutes to the city. The surroundings are quiet, though there’s no ATM or store nearby.

The shuttle to the historic site was really useful, and the room was comfortable for unwinding after a long day walking and hiking through the valley. My wife and I stayed at the Mövenpick Nabatean Castle during our week-long holiday in Jordan to visit Petra. The setting is fantastic, with mountain views over gorges and valleys. The food and service were excellent too.

The mountain and Petra views at sunset are one of my best memories of Jordan. The hotel’s a bit dated, but still pleasant and in a great spot away from the bustle outside the visitors gate. Food and drinks were good, and the staff were so friendly, always ready to help.

The mountain views and really good breakfast make this a great hotel near Petra. The highlight for me was Receptionist Ahmad.Q, who was so friendly and helpful and clearly cares about giving guests great service. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying near Petra.

It was very quiet, with hardly any rooms occupied, so we felt a little strange, though everything ran smoothly. The hotel has lovely mountain views, but getting to Petra takes more planning. It’s around 7 km away, and the shuttle runs at very limited times, so sometimes we had to get taxis to make the trip there and back. We had a good stay and would recommend it, but plan ahead for the journey.
