Suliman and his team made us feel incredibly welcome during our two nights at this traditional camp. We stayed in comfortable tents with private bathrooms, showers and toilets, along with terraces and big bay windows. The local food was delicious. One evening we listened to music, and another we chatted around the campfire. There’s plenty to do here, including 4x4 trips, camel rides, climbing and hiking. We had a fantastic day excursion. The scenery is breathtaking, and the camp felt authentic and peaceful.

The excursions were the best part: 4x4, a camel ride lasting over three hours thanks to our guide, and a 22 km hike. Thanks again to the guide. The young man running the camp by himself was nice, though he didn't speak any English. We were the only guests for two nights. The location in Wadi Rum is what earned this camp four stars. There’s plenty of room to make it more comfortable, even in the desert. The large tent only had one armchair and a tiny table, and an open shelf for our belongings would have helped. Storage is lacking, with too few shelves, chairs and tables. The bedding really needs replacing. The nylon sheets were too small, the synthetic blankets caused static, and the iron bed frame kept giving us shocks. The mattresses, sheets and blankets all need a complete overhaul. The food was decent, but even the salads were hot, which made me think there wasn't a refrigerator. Breakfast was appalling: tea bags, while staying with Bedouins!
