The desert views from the verandah were beautiful, especially under the stars, and the room had a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. We were the only guests at Valley Resort that day, so the staff really looked after us. Dinner and breakfast were huge, enough food for ten people, and classic Arabian fare. The coffee could perhaps be better. There’s plenty to do, or you can take it easy. We went on two jeep trips with a Bedouin guide, seeing a magical sunset, climbing up to a rock bridge, exploring canyons, and tackling a huge sand dune. My one problem was the lack of shade by the pool. With fair skin, I couldn’t lounge there in the sun. They were planning to add umbrellas. The walkways get super hot, so bring slippers or sandals. Jordan could use more tourists, so do come!

The resort has lots to keep you busy, from the pool and billiard table to air hockey, fooseball and archery. It’s a good place to come with family or friends, and everything was clean and beautifully decorated. Our room was lovely and clean too. Rashid and Ziyad picked us up, took us to a beautiful spot for sunset, and were welcoming and friendly. The drive from there to the resort took less than five minutes. Once we arrived, Mahmoud and Ali greeted us and showed us around. Highly recommended.

Waking up to those beautiful views of the Wadi Rum surroundings was a real treat. Our deluxe room with two beds was clean and comfortable, with great facilities and a strong shower. After long days of hiking and exploring, Valley Resort was a lovely place to unwind. We had evening drinks under the stars and played pool. Mahmood and the team were so kind and helpful. They shared great recommendations, and our guide took us around the desert to see sights, hikes and beautiful views, with a freshly cooked lunch by the rocks. We ate well at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they quickly sorted out vegetarian meals with a smile, even though the lamb looked delicious! The surroundings are so special, and the people are lovely. We’d happily come back soon. Thank you 🧡

The weather was bitterly cold and extremely windy while we were there, giving the place an almost Martian feel. Even so, our stay at Valley Resort was unforgettable and a little challenging in the best sense. Mahmoud and his team made us feel welcome and comfortable with outstanding service. Special mention to the chef, whose meals were excellent, especially the local dishes. The resort itself is beautiful and in a great location.

Ahmed was wonderful during our stay and made some excellent cocktails. I also loved the outdoor gym beside the pool, such a great combination. The service and amenities were fantastic, and the stargazing was better than anywhere else I’ve been. Wadi Rum is worth visiting just for this place.
