Rustic and charming, with tasty food and drinks. The morning market was the best part for me, fun and inexpensive.

We stayed three nights in a spacious 12.5 tatami corner Japanese-style room with three guests. It had two sinks, a bathroom, and a toilet, and parking was available. The head chef made sure our meals didn’t repeat throughout the stay. There were English-speaking staff, a warm welcome, and a nightly lucky draw in the lobby. Highly recommend.

The hospitality is what earned my four stars. The building and rooms are average, but the staff were so helpful with our baby. They sterilize bottles and will warm solid baby food whenever you ask. On the 7th-floor onsen, the women’s side has a baby bed for changing clothes and diapers, plus a baby chair in the bath area to use while you wash. Meals are traditional Japanese “Kaiseki” style, using local ingredients. The “Dashi” soup was a standout, so good it practically melted in my mouth.
