The Farmers Market is right across the road, and there’s a konbini just around the corner, so the location worked really well for us. We stayed at Hotel Aoi Kuni in December 2024 while on our Hachijuhachi. It was freezing, with heavy rain overnight, and the place was a welcome refuge. The receptionist was so kind and moved us to a better room. We really appreciated that.

There are lots of Ainan restaurants within walking distance, since this small-town hotel is right in the center. A great place to stay.

You can hear people talking from the other rooms, so it gets a little noisy.

It’s a simple room, but for a hotel in this area, I think it’s perfectly adequate. The walls may be thin, because the snoring from next door was pretty hard to ignore. There are plenty of nearby places, including MIC, restaurants, and a convenience store within walking distance. The room itself...

I slept really well in the roomy, comfortable bed and felt rested for the next day. This was the first night of my motorcycle trip around Shikoku, which I began in Kagawa Prefecture. I’d thought about going farther and staying in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, but the price, including breakfast, and the hotel’s closeness to the Shidenkai Exhibition Hall made me choose this place.
