The stay gave me a brief chance to feel what it was like to live in the town, which was different from being in a hotel. I was there last year and, as a foreigner, found the heater and shower hard to figure out. Maybe a short how-to video guests can open with a QR code would help.

The cafe has a Kyoto townhouse feel. It only opens on certain days, so check the schedule before you go. I heard they may start offering lodging too.
