Getting around the hotel can take a bit of figuring out at first, since the place is enormous and feels like a maze. Give yourself time to get oriented instead of rushing from one spot to the next, even outside when you’re looking for the street. Still, it’s worth exploring: the Japanese Garden bridges are lovely, and starting the day on the 40th floor is a great idea. The room was comfortable, breakfast was top-notch, and the hotel is only a few minutes from a subway station and the government area. A magnificent stay.

We had two connecting rooms, both very clean and just what we expected. We were on the 20th floor, and on a clear morning we could see Mt. Fuji perfectly. The hotel has lots of restaurants and high-end shops, and room service was excellent too. It’s also an easy walk to the train station, Japanese restaurants, and shops nearby. The lobby is on the 6th floor, and the staff were polite and quick to help. Some employees speak English, though their level varies, so a few basic Japanese words are useful. It was our first trip to Japan, and we’d stay at the Hotel New Otani Garden again with the family.

The TV channel selection was the one letdown. In such a touristy area, I expected more international content. Aside from that, we had a great stay: the room and bathroom were clean and nice, and the staff were especially friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan.

The gardens, range of dining options, and pool give the place a resort feel, with sprawling grounds and different levels to explore. There are handy little conveniences around too, including a Family Mart. The pool took some effort to reach, but it was so nice and made our stay feel special. The hotel has a vintage character and a bit of history, and the Japanese service was impeccable. Our room seemed a little dated, and the hallway decor was odd, though neither bothered us. We loved staying here for part of our time in Tokyo. The inclusive breakfast was very high quality for one morning, but it’s expensive for a longer stay, and there are nice family-style restaurants nearby. Many thanks to everyone there. We highly recommend the hotel.

We had a great four-night stay. The staff were wonderful, really nice and helpful, and the hotel is in a handy spot: shops and restaurants are walkable, with a subway station just a block away. The rooms are large by Japan standards, which was nice, though I found the mattress and pillows hard.
