Hotel First Stay Amagasaki

Breakfast was about what you'd expect for the price, and the room was tiny but okay. Amagasaki station is around a 10-minute walk away. I'd avoid the second floor, especially room 216, unless you want to look straight at a parking spot.

The front desk staff were very kind and handled my late check-in, which helped. Wi-Fi worked fine for watching videos, and the 24-hour coffee machine was a nice touch. I only wish there were soft drinks too. There weren't many people at breakfast compared with the number of guests, so it was easy to relax. The building is very old, and the closets and room layout show it. The walls seem thin, since I could hear noise from next door, and soundproofing felt poor. The shower drained badly, so hot, foamy water slowly pooled around my feet, which was unpleasant. The lot fits about 10 cars, but you can't reserve a space. I parked at a nearby coin lot for 600 yen, while the hotel would have been 1000 yen. I paid nearly 9000 yen, perhaps because prices have gone up lately. It feels like it might have been about 6000 yen a while back. I added breakfast for 800 yen, but the choices were limited and it didn't taste good. In hindsight, I would have been better off without it.

I was traveling by myself and booked on the day. The staff still helped me kindly, and the room-only plan suited me well. The room was clean and nice. Thanks!
