It’s an older business hotel, and it doesn’t have the spotless feel you find at many places in Japan. Still, the rate is good and the location works perfectly for staying in Aomori. Having laundry on site is a plus. The Wi-Fi only reaches the lobby, though.
They were very rigid about the rules. They wouldn’t let us leave our bikes or luggage while we were away, and we couldn’t check in before the set time either. We weren’t happy with the service.
A really cheap option for travelers on a budget. It’s close to the station and main street, though tucked a little away from the road.
The staff were really nice, and though the place is a little old, it was easy enough to stay there. You can add only the services you need, which makes it good value. I just rented an electric kettle for 100 yen, and even renting towels would still be very cheap. Daiso is also a short walk away for anything you need.
For ¥3500, my non-smoking single room on a Sunday in December felt like good value. I booked it through Rakuten. It was dated, but clean, bigger than I expected, and close to the station. The comforter had a very old-fashioned pattern XD, but it was comfortable, and the luggage rack came in handy. The bathroom was small. You need your own towels, bath towel, and toothbrush, or you can rent them when you check in. The front desk is staffed until 8:30 PM, and since I was arriving late, the hotel called to remind me to check in before then. Check-out is by 10:00 AM, and you leave your key in the box beside the front desk. If you get locked out after forgetting your key, or have an emergency, there’s a black phone on the first floor to reach the staff.
