We found the room clean and comfortable, and the owner was very friendly. It’s a good choice if you’re picking up a rental car at Asahikawa Airport on your first day and don’t want a long drive. The place looks beautiful in autumn, and I’d definitely like to come back!

The house is right in the heart of Biei, making nearby sights easy to explore, and there’s a quiet birch forest behind it. It’s also not far from the train station. We rented a car, but one day we took the train to Asahikawa for drinks, which was a real plus. My younger sibling and I had a wonderful visit, and the staff were so friendly. Our schedule was tight and we were tired, but after washing up and lying down in the room, we felt completely refreshed. The Itos have carefully gathered furniture and decorations that make the whole place beautiful. I sat at a pretty desk and wrote my daily diary with a Sailor fountain pen. There’s a spacious shared kitchen and living room, as well as a laundry room and shower. I wish we’d had more time at the house. Next time I’d like to walk around the area and chat with the Itos. I forgot to take a photo with them on our last day. Ito is a photographer, and a collection of his work is displayed in the living room. We really appreciated you signing our art book and saying we’d brought you a gift. One thing that would be nice to have is a coat rack in the bedroom.
