We had a great stay here in Jan 2026. The rooms are generous by Japan standards, and there's a small, nice onsen, though no showers in the rooms. We drove, which was easy, but getting here by public transport might be harder. There were lots of thoughtful extras: tea from different regions of Japan to choose from, free-flow sake, beer, wine, whisky and mulled wine, plus a huge shabu shabu dinner. Staff speak English.

The onsen was very clean, and the rooms had Japanese-style sliding doors and a balcony. It's a beautiful place, with nice staff and service. The bus station is right nearby, and the location sits conveniently between Fuji and Gora. At the time of our stay, breakfast and dinner could be bought at reasonable prices for convenience, and drinks were free.

Our two-night stay was lovely. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and roomy, and the staff hosting us were so friendly and attentive. We had sumptuous food every day. I'd definitely recommend it and come back!

The location works okay if you have your own vehicle. I wouldn't recommend getting there by bus, especially for older people.

The price was very reasonable, the food was very good, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The room didn't have much of a view. A slightly larger bath would have made it a solid four stars.
