A warm, cozy traditional place in the countryside, with a friendly host who was helpful. It’s close enough to bike to all the interesting spots in central Asuka. Rustic Bakery is also worth a visit for its incredible pastries.

Rui, the owner, is very kind, and dinner portions are huge. The nabe hot pot was delicious. Although the house is within walking distance of the train station, it still feels like staying in a real farmhouse. Some doors are old and hard to slide, and the toilet and bath are outside the room. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a homestay experience.
They offer kimono rental and can serve organic meals in this traditional Japanese furuminka house.
An intriguing house, tasty food, and an interesting town. The new host was friendly and speaks a little Dutch.
Such a quiet, beautiful place. Saori is perfect too.
