Quiet and cozy, with great service. This onsen hotel by the Atami Bairn was a wonderful place to get away and unwind.

The room was roomy, and the garden was lovely. I enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air one, and the food was good too. I stayed on a weekday and was able to relax. There’s a MINISTOP nearby within walking distance. The grounds themselves aren’t very big, though, and finding the property was a real challenge. I couldn’t locate the entrance. For the price, it felt a little short of what I expected. I think there are better ryokans at the same rate.

Right beside Atami Plum Garden, this is a small, quiet inn with six rooms. There are two indoor baths, one each for men and women, plus four separate outdoor baths, so there’s room to unwind comfortably. The air conditioning can be a little noisy, though.

The autumn foliage looked beautiful from the open-air bath. I was happy with the service, the food, and the scenery.
