The food was really good, and I especially recommend paying extra for the private Onsen. The scenery there is so beautiful. I spent my birthday here and liked the decent room and its sea view, though I did miss having a heated toilet seat.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The room and onsen both look out to the sea without anything blocking the view, and the food was excellent and filling, with plenty of different seafood. It's an accessible, affordable choice around Atami/Ito.

We went for day use. The view was good, though I didn't think the onsen was as nice as the one in Hakone. For Atami, I'd suggest visiting in summer for the fireworks.

We didn't stay overnight, just booked an hour to bathe. The trip from Tokyo took about 2.5 hours each way, but I thought it was worth it. We paid around 9500 for two people and two hours, using one cabin. They offered us two separate ones, but that didn't make sense for us. We spent some more money in the shop and bought a bunch of things. The people there were nice, though they didn't speak English, so we used Google Translate and had a good laugh together. My wife's friend, who spends a lot of time in Japan, had recommended these hot springs, and we loved the visit. Thanks for a wonderful day together.

The room had only a limited ocean view, though the hotel sits right on the coast. It was a typical Japanese hotel room, with no shower or bath in it, so bathing meant using the onsen. That was nice, but it didn't feel very private if you're modest. You can pay extra for a private onsen, and we didn't eat here. We booked one night at the last minute, midweek through Rakuten, which seemed cheaper. It's fine, but I wouldn't call it luxury.
