Lectore Atami Koarashi (TKP Hotels & Resorts)

The staff have been welcoming, polite, and helpful. We stayed three nights; the room was cleaned once, but they brought fresh towels and garbage bags every day. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The roads are steep and narrow, so getting there is harder, though we found a taxi easily and the hotel reimbursed us at check-in. The ride from Atami station cost about 1500yen. The Onsen was lovely and had plenty of amenities, including a few skincare options. You can choose your own yakata for the Onsen, and the free massage chairs were great after a day of walking and exploring. There are vending machines for snacks, plus instant coffee and tea, but no restaurants or convenience stores close by. We'd definitely recommend it and stay again.

We visited in the off season, and I had the whole Onsen to myself. It made for a lovely, relaxing break on our road trip around the country. The room was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the nights were quiet. Definitely recommend staying here. One note for anyone traveling with heavy bags, there are no elevators.

The rooms have been renovated to a high standard, and you can see the sea from them. The hotel was hard to find, especially in the evening, and the service fell below Japanese standards. Food was quite basic, and dinner disappointed me in both variety and the thought put into preparing it. The Onsen is relatively small. It felt overpriced.

The resort staff were very good and helpful, and the Wi-Fi and breakfast seemed okay. From our room window, we could see both the sea and the mountain. The location and climate were nice too. The only challenge was driving there, since the roads are narrow and very steep and call for careful driving.
