The room was clean, some appliances were good quality, and the view was lovely. But the upkeep around the property was poor. There were spider webs throughout the building and dirt on the windowsills. The barrel sauna we rented was covered in webs too. We paid extra for the BBQ, but the curtains there were filthy and full of bugs, so we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat and canceled it. For what it cost, I expected it to be cleaned properly. In summer there are all sorts of insects, including centipedes, large spiders, cockroaches, stink bugs, and tiny flies. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who hates bugs. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM with the key, and checkout and key return at 10 AM, but someone was 15 to 30 minutes late both times. I called and eventually someone came. The staff member on the phone was dismissive, though they apologized a lot. There were some good points, but it wasn’t worth the price, and I won’t be coming back.

It’s a bright, simple place with a fun, welcoming feel. The sheets, living room, bathroom, and toilet were all very clean, and they even provide coffee beans and a hand grinder. Having a freshly made cup in the quiet morning was a lovely part of the trip. There’s room for around five or six people, with plenty of cooking equipment and utensils. You can also pay to use the BBQ grill and sauna. Bugs are hard to avoid this close to nature and the beach, but that’s understandable.

The bathroom and bed both had views that felt like looking at a painting. We had a dreamlike break with the BBQ, sauna, and open-air bath, and it was handy for sightseeing too, with lots of attractions within a 30-minute drive. I stayed with my girlfriend. The room was spacious and spotless, and the provided appliances felt luxurious. The morning coffee was so good I had several refills.

The kids were especially happy, and we’d like to come back. There were four adults and three children in our group. The room had dishes and a full set of cooking appliances, so we grilled on the terrace during the day, then bought fish from a nearby fishmonger and made hand-rolled sushi in the evening. It felt relaxing but still elegant. The ocean-view bath was fantastic, and for a moment we felt like celebrities.
