There's plenty of room inside, and you're close to the station and shops. Check-in was easy, and they left us more towels than we needed. The rooftop bench has a nice view of Beppu when it's not too cold. The kitchen looks nice, but oddly you're not allowed to cook, only boil water. The Western bed mattress is really poor, so the futons on the floor are a better choice for sleeping. The one downside is the noise at night: it's at a crossroads where people shout, and even on weekdays there are drunk people downstairs. The windows don't block it, so bring earplugs. Very good value for money!

Could work well for a stay of a few weeks in Beppu. Keep in mind these are apartments only, and check-in happens at a guesthouse about 5 - 10 minutes' walk away.

We had a great stay. The room was spacious, and the location was convenient, close to 7-11, a bus stop, and the train station.

The room and bed were larger than I expected, with a separate bathroom and toilet, plus a kitchen and dining table set off in their own corner. The place felt roomy. There's a shoe rack by the entrance because shoes aren't allowed indoors, and a stand with umbrellas, which was thoughtful since it had rained the day before. Getting luggage up the stairs takes some effort. It's very close to Beppu Station, near O-Tengu, and easy to find with a gyoza shop at the downstairs corner. Check-in is at another lodging about a 5-minute walk toward the sea, so it's best to arrange a time with the host. I only stayed one night, so can't say I got a deep impression. A walk after dinner followed by a soak at nearby Takegawara Onsen was perfect before bed. Ginza-dori is very close, so it gets a little noisy at night, and the host provides earplugs. The shower's massage spray was quite strong, almost like little pinpricks.
