Capsule Hotel New Gloria

The staff were nice, and you can heat up a meal and eat at the hotel. The area is handy for restaurants and close to the train station. That said, there are too many problems here. Smoke from the smoking room gets into the capsule area because the door doesn’t keep it in, and the window in the smoking room doesn’t open wide enough. The beds weren’t properly clean either. I found hair and other unidentified stuff, though luckily the sheets were clean. If you have tattoos, you can’t shower here. The spa and shower are the same facility, and tattoos aren’t allowed, so you’re left without a shower while still paying the same price. You’d have to pay somewhere else to wash. It’s crazy that a hotel doesn’t have a separate shower room. It’s okay for one night. Beppu is overrated and not worth it.
