Kanponoyado Beppu

The house has its own onsen, good quality amenities, an air purifier in the rooms, and slippers. It's near Beppu hell valley onsens. The address was hard to find on Google Maps at first, but using the mapcode or entering the "actual name" took me right there. Aya offered a complimentary drink in exchange for a Google review, but we didn't take it. The first try at video check-in on the iPad didn't work. I had to repeat the authentication before they gave me the main door PIN. The shared road in and out is narrow, so keep that in mind if you're driving a big MPV. A few things to consider: the two main bedrooms are upstairs and have showers, so you'll carry luggage up and down the stairs on arrival and departure. The kitchen plates and bowls are small and aren't suited to big cooking. No filtered water or bottles are provided, so you'll need to get your own, though Japan tap water is drinkable. The bedroom walls are only about 50% soundproof, so loud sounds can carry when you're near them or using the bathroom. It's a quiet, private place with your own onsen, cooking, and laundry facilities, and I'd recommend it for that. The price is on the high side, though.

There was plenty of room throughout the whole unit, and having several washrooms was excellent for our group of friends and large families. Everyone enjoyed it a lot!

If you're after a peaceful stay a little away from the city, this is a great place. It's newly renovated, the bed is comfortable, and there's an onsen in the house. That all made it feel like a six-star stay to me. I'll definitely come back!

We could enjoy the onsen 24/7. The house is spacious, with three washrooms and separate toilets, and has a nice wooden design.
