Rustic Resort Isumi / Vacation STAY 5447

I'm not against animals, but I wish the cat's living area were clearly separated from the accommodation. It wore a collar and kept roaming around, so during the barbecue we had to be careful around the stove. It was unsettling when it tried to get into the room whenever the door was even a little open. Some of the equipment was fragile, including electrical appliances, so we had to take care not to break anything.

The kids loved the room, which felt like a secret base, and had a great time with the BBQ and fireworks, doing whatever they wanted. We grilled outside and then ate in the living room, which felt like a garage but had a shutter and, thankfully, air conditioning. Bugs and even crabs wandered inside, which was hilarious, but the water, shower, and toilet are all outside the door, so it may be tough if you don't like insects. At night we lay outside to look at the countless stars, with even a faint Milky Way visible and crayfish walking around our feet, lol. The road to the inn is narrow. Our 10-seater van made it through, but larger cars might have trouble turning. We were confused by the sign asking us to call out for check-in; when we rang the main house doorbell, the owner appeared looking like he'd stepped out of an Okinawan folk museum, no offense! The shower and toilet are a walk away, so you'll need an umbrella when it rains. We couldn't use the open-air bath because it had a suspicious smell, which was a shame. Even with those drawbacks, this was the best place for our family. We'd definitely like to come back in another season.

We came back on November 11, 2025, after our first stay in June. This time the wood stove was working, and I was impressed. Getting to experience it in autumn and winter was special. I had a wonderful time and will come again next year! On our first visit, I already had a general idea of the location and packed what we'd need. Shopping was easy with a hardware store and supermarket nearby. It felt like a handmade glamping house, and was a very comfortable stay. If you're thinking of camping, this is a very luxurious version. The sunsets and the nighttime lights are beautiful, and just relaxing in the garage living room felt like the ultimate luxury. Cats and deer often come by, so don't leave food out, lol. It was a wild and fun experience (o^^o), and I'd definitely stay again. *Additional note: It seems this place can now be booked through Airbnb.

The starry sky was incredible, and sitting by the ground campfire felt so refreshing. We also heard nightingales during the day, then insects and frogs at night. The wood stove kept us warm, and the open-air bath had a charming handmade feel. We stayed before Golden Week, didn't bring camping gear, and they provided a BBQ for free. The bedrooms and shower rooms were clean, and even a one-day stay was really satisfying. I'd definitely like to come back. Thank you!
